This class is designed for independent skill building of advanced handstand positions and balance. Please obtain permission from instructor prior to attending. We will not have time to explain basic handstand fundamentals in this class, so attendees already have a strong foundation and can balance off the wall alone without a spotter.

We will practice multiple drills using props like yoga blocks, resistance bands, canes/pedestals, benches, blocks, and spotters to gain the strength and increase your balance in multiple positions, press handstands, and one arm prep.


The handstand is the most important basic skill used in the theory of gymnastics and acrobatics and it is essential to any acrobat's training regime. Our handstand training program has had many influences including yoga, gymnastics, acrobatics, and circus hand balancing. In this class, we will work on drills for one arm handstand, contortion handstands, and transitions between different poses.
